He also has battled turf toe in both feet, causing his production to decline steadily. Best has 380 yards rushing and is averaging just 3.1 yards per attempt.

The Vikings are a 3-point underdog against the Packers today. According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the Vikings have been an underdog against the Packers in 24 of 38 meetings since 1992, but only six times at home. Of those six home games, the Vikings won four of them: 1995, 1996, 2001 and 2002. The Packers finished those seasons 11-5, 13-3, 12-4 and 12-4, respectively.

The perceptions of Bears coach Lovie Smith and General Manager Jerry Angelo have swayed back and forth over the years. They've been geniuses, dum-bells and are now swinging back toward being pretty smart once again. Funny how they look smarter when their players are healthier. As the Chicago Sun Times points out, the Bears are 7-1 with one shutout when Julius Peppers, Lance Briggs and Brian Urlacher have been healthy this year.
